Your child’s nickname

Like many bloggers I use nicknames for my children on my blog and twitter. I have seen some strange and wonderful nicknames out in the blogger world and would love to know the stories behind your choices.

When I first started my blog I was using the nickname Rapunzel for my 4 year old girl as at the time everything around us had something to do with the film Tangled. She also has lovely long hair that has only been cut a handful of times. Now that the Tangled obsession has eased off I decided it just doesn’t really fit anymore. I was also starting to wonder if people thought it was her real name? When I decided to change it I realised that she doesn’t have a set nickname, she tends to get called all sorts. One thing that I had noticed was that with the baby being the ‘wee one’, the 4 year old had been promoted to the ‘littleun’. So, she is now called Littleun in all my posts.

The bump’s nickname is the Wee Chameleon. The reason behind this is that she is mixed race and we are curious as to what colour she is going to be. Most babies that are mixed race begin their life as white and their colour becomes more tan over the first year. We have joked between us that she is going to be like a chameleon changing colours and it stuck as her nickname.

So, write up a post about your children’s nicknames and link them up here.
